Where 30-day profit actually comes from

For 200 wallets we split the last 30 days of cash flow into trading cash and rebates:

Short answer: the PnL Polymarket shows already has taker fees deducted, and rebates and rewards are already in it. Fees still tell you something: for active takers with thin margins, the fees paid are a large share of what they kept, so their edge is smaller than their volume suggests. Makers, on the other side, earn rebates — $24.41M visible across the wallets we track — which is income, but not trading skill.

FAQ

Does Polymarket PnL include fees?
Yes — the profit on profiles and leaderboards already has taker fees taken out. ProbPocket checked it on 2026-10-30: for fee-heavy wallets, every cash in and out plus open positions landed within a few percent of the official figure, while the fees paid were several times that gap. In the archive (as of 2026-11-01), for 85 of 680 profitable wallets the fees paid equal 10% or more of what they kept.
What are maker rebates?
Payments Polymarket makes to liquidity providers. They appear in the public activity feed; across 623 measured wallets we see $24.41M in visible rebates.
Why are your fees-paid numbers a lower bound?
Fees are reverse-solved from the activity feed one run at a time, starting from when we began tracking each wallet (median coverage 106 days). Earlier fees are unknown, not zero.
